What has been your investment so far?
About $80,000

How long have you been a business owner?
Almost 5 years.

What’s the most important advice you would say to new entrepreneurs as they start their journeys.
Alignment is everything. Create something that YOU want because it’s what YOU are good at, not because it’s the “smart” thing to do, or because other people are doing it. Get clear on what you want, how you want to do it and then go for it. And, know that it can be JOYFUL, in flow and you don’t have to do it alone.

Sarah Kaler

Sarah Kaler Business + Leadership Coach www.soulpowered.com

What has been your investment so far?
$85,000, the majority of this was in high level mentorship, coaching, conferences and programs to further my expertise and education and the remainder was on branding and marketing. This has provided a significant return and created more opportunities than I could have imagined.

How long have you been a business owner?
I have had multiple businesses, including another high level coaching business. SoulPowered however in its full capacity started in November 2014.

What’s the most important advice you would say to new entrepreneurs as they start their journeys?
Do not fly solo. Invest in yourself. Every entrepreneur needs a support team. Every great leader has a mentor or coach. One of the biggest mistakes entrepreneurs make is flying solo, escalating into overwhelm, exhaustion and burnout trying to reinvent the wheel. Do yourself a favor: Accelerate your business, find the coach that is right for you and start thriving in all areas of your life. You can make an impact and love your life if you start building your support team now.

After investing over $250k into my success, I can honestly say that investing in yourself is totally worth it.

How long have you been a business owner?
I’ve had my own blogs/online businesses in different niches since 2010.

What’s the most important advice you would say to new entrepreneurs as they start their journeys? The biggest piece of advice I would give another entrepreneur is to do it right before you do it better. There is a time and place for everything. You will have a time to be creative, stand out, and advance your field. But start by doing what works. Then focus on making it better. Challenges will come and go. Your success will come and you decide that no challenge is worth quitting over and that you can always learn something new.

Mel Pharr Business Coach www.MelPharr.com

What has been your investment so far?
I’d venture to say that I’ve invest $70K in my business in the past almost 5 years, maybe more. And considering my revenues over the past 5 years, it’s been a pretty small percentage. Group programs, private coaching, crm, web design, va’s and more.

How long have you been a business owner?
For almost 5 years now. I began as a personal trainer, then began training over skype as a personal trainer. Next I moved into coaching about sex and intimacy and now I’ve found my home as a business coach, working with new coaches to help them creating $5K and $10K months in their online coaching business.

What’s the most important advice you would say to new entrepreneurs as they start their journeys?
1) Keep your mindset in check. You must believe in yourself and be resilient when things don’t go as planned. 2) Persistence persistence persistence! Just because things happen differently than you thought or you don’t knock it out of the part every time, that does not mean it’s not meant to be. Test, tweak, and go again. 3) Hire support from someone who’s gone before you. DIY is just another way to play small and show the universe that you don’t really believe in yourself. Just do it.

What’s the most important advice you would say to new entrepreneurs as they start their journeys? If I could give a piece of advice to beginners: Make sure that you get to understand who your ICA is in great depth. You also need to make sure that your services and products are needed. Make sure you do in depth market research (ICA, COMPETITORS….ETC). If you skip this step, it can cost you financially. Not to mention a waste in time, energy and resources.

Sarah Liddle

Sarah Liddle- Founder International College of Wellness Coaches
www.SarahLiddle.com

What has been your investment so far?
A little over $100,000. My biggest investment has been my education and training, which is of course ongoing.

How long have you been a business owner?
I have actually owned several businesses before my existing one now. I have been in this business for a little under eight years. I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was just a little kid. I’ve always asked the question throughout my life “how can I serve?”. I really believe being a business owner is in my DNA.

What’s the most important advice you would say to new entrepreneurs as they start their journeys?
The most important advice I feel to receive as an entrepreneur would be that, it’s not about you, don’t think about what you can get, always think about what you can give. Bringing an outstanding business to the masses means getting your ego out of the way, coming down to earth and giving people what they want better than anyone else. Always think “how can I do it better”.
